Kawasaki Australia confirm 2015 factory racing team

Jake Moss and Adam Monea return for NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki.

Kawasaki Motors Australia press release:

2015 will be the second year of racing for Jake Moss alongside Adam Monea who will be racing with Kawasaki for the third year in a row on a Kawasaki KX450F.

Being one of the only two riders to make it through to Super Pole at every round of last year’s championship, Jake rejoins Kawasaki in form and hungry for a championship title. Winning the 2007 Australian 250 MX championship and racing in the 2009 AMA MX Championship for the injured Ryan Villopoto, Jake brings talent and experience to the team and is confident of a positive result.

“From the first time I had a ride of the KX450F, I gelled with it instantly and that’s been the case up to this point. It puts myself and the team in a great position coming into the season and I am really looking forward to the first race”, Jake commented.

Adam Monea will be entering the season on a high note after taking 2nd place overall in the 2014 Australian Supercross Championships. Last year’s outstanding performance came after a 4 year break from competing in Supercross and this year Adam is set to reach his potential on his faithful KX450F. Adam Monea says, “I am grateful to be racing with the Kawasaki factory team for the third year in a row.

I have been training hard in the off-season and I can’t wait to start racing again this year. We are in a good position with the KX450F after fine tuning some settings at the end of 2014 and I’ve been consistently training. I believe we will reach the goals we are aiming towards this year”.

Team manager Troy Carroll is extremely optimistic coming into the 2015 racing season. “Of the 25 motos raced in the MX1 class last year, our team were on the podium for 18 of those 25 motos. We finished strong overall last year and with the backing of Kawasaki again this year, we are strong contenders to win a 450 Championship”.

“Jake and Adam settled into the team well and we have addressed some key challenges from last year during a recent training camp in the United States. Michael Marty (Head Mechanic), Paul Teasdale and Chris Prestedge (team mechanics), are dedicated to getting the most out of each KX450F. Both of our riders are young, fit and experienced enough to win a MX1 title and I believe that at this stage we have reached the potential to make it happen in 2015”, said Troy.

Kawasaki Australia’s National Sales and Marketing Manager, Robert Walker, said “Kawasaki is excited to have Jake and Adam on board again for 2015. With the team managed by Troy Carroll and backed up by the experienced Head Mechanic, Michael Marty, we believe we are in the strongest position to win a championship”.

Kawasaki’s 2015 racing team sponsorship partners will be announced shortly.
