After a stellar 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals season, securing his very first MX2 title, Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Ford Dale is transitioning well for the upcoming supercross season.

Dale wrapped up his maiden MX2 outdoor title at Coolum’s season finale, before taking a few weeks to recover from the grueling season.

With a brand-new track and a high calibre training parter in Ben Townley, the 24-year-old says his preparation is going well at this point.

“It’s going good, I had a few weeks off and just got a track built,” said Dale. “I got back into it last week and I did a few days then Ben [Townley] came over, so that’s been good chasing him around. But yeah, I feel good.”

Dale will be looking to carry his championship winning momentum into the Australian Supercross Championships, with the obvious goal of winning in mind.

“I’m wanting to be at the front, obviously my goal is to win,” he added. “I’ll get a few more weeks under my belt training and I’m looking forward to it.”

The all-new 2012 Australian Supercross Championships will kick off at Dubbo in New South Wales on 13 October.
