Alex Salvini will return to the A4DE in Australia once again in 2012.

Spectators will be in for a treat at the 2012 Yamaha WR450F Australian 4 Day Enduro (A4DE) in Victoria this October, with European star rider Alex Salvini confirmed to contest the event.

The Husqvarna Factory rider will be looking to defend his E1 Class crown, and will join forces with local Husqvarna factory riders Glenn Kearney and Luka Bussa for a red hot assault on the A4DE spoils.

Salvini, a world-class performer with an International Six Day Enduro Championship title and two MX3 World Championship silver medals among his many achievements, will pit his experience and skill against Australia’s best riders in the unique four day challenge.

The Italian charger will go up against some of Australia’s fiercest competitors in the fast-paced E1 class, including Ben Burrell (Motorex KTM Off-Road), Daniel Milner (Ballard’s Yamaha Off-Road), Josh Green (Active8 Yamaha Yamalube) and former World Enduro Champion Stefan Merriman (Ballard’s Yamaha Off-Road).

Also on the start line for the 2012 A4DE will be a superb list of names including Chris Hollis (Motorex KTM Off-Road), Matthew Phillips (Ballard’s Yamaha Off-Road), Lachlan Stanford (Suzuki MX1 Australia), Jessica Gardiner (Yamaha) and defending Outright Champion Toby Price (Motorex KTM Off-Road).

Victorian Minister for Sport and Recreation Hugh Delahunty is looking forward to having Salvini and the 2012 A4DE touch down in Victoria.

“The Victorian Government is pleased to be supporting the Australian 4 Day Enduro, and welcome the news that Europe’s number one rider, Alex Salvini, will be part of this fantastic event,” Minister Delahunty said.

“I encourage all Victorians to make the most of the opportunity to see one of the best in action.”

The 2012 A4DE will take place near the Victorian town of Warragul, from 24-27 October and will attract more than 350 riders and thousands of spectators and enthusiasts to the Gippsland region.

Entries for the 2012 Yamaha WR450F A4DE are now being accepted online at www.a4de.com.

Now in its 34th year, the iconic A4DE is the second largest Motorcycle Enduro race on the planet and will attract more than 350 riders with its challenging four-day program of unique trails and special tests.
