Australian Motocross will salute the mothers of the motocross this weekend when the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship, resumes at Murray Bridge in South Australia on Sunday, 8 May.

Contested on Mother’s Day this weekend, a host of Australia’s finest rising stars and seasoned veterans will be racing to give their mums the ultimate prize on Sunday – victory at the very highest level of domestic motocross.

Motocross is a sport where families are vital for success in the early stages and throughout a rider’s career, with mothers nationwide putting in countless hours to support their sons – and daughters – in their quest for success.

Not only is it a case of working overtime to pay the bills to go racing, but cleaning mud-soaked gear, organising travel and sourcing sponsorship are just a few tasks that the mums of motocross take on in their greatly appreciated roles.

For the top levels professionals in Australia, what better what to repay their mums than with a win on Sunday? The Murray Bridge club will play host to round four of the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals title chase on Sunday, 8 May.

Practice and qualifying will commence at 8:30am with the official opening ceremonies taking place at approximately 10:30am. Visit www.mxnationals.com.au on the web for complete series and round information on the 2011 season.
