Motul Pirelli Sherco Enduro Team rider Broc Grabham will sit out this weekend’s Hattah Desert Race with a broken shoulder, expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.

Grabham was riding a grass track motocross last Sunday morning when he was hit from behind by another rider, causing his bike to highside and effectively ending his hopes for Hattah.

β€œI’m really dissapointed,” said Grabham. β€œIt was a small crash and I know the rider behind me didn’t mean to hit me – it was really slippery and it just happened. The tip of my shoulder is broken and it’s fairly painful. I can’t lift my arm, so there’s no way I can ride at the moment.

“I’m looking to see a specialist doctor next week so I know exactly where I stand, but at the moment it’s looking like six weeks recovery. I want to treat it right, but I also want to be back on the bike as soon as possible.”

The injury is an unfortunate blow to Grabham’s recent good form and a blow to the Motul Pirelli Sherco Enduro Team’s Hattah Desert Race effort. However they have since confirmed that Justin Carafa will contest the event on board a 300 SE-R.
