Just over one week after being confirmed to contest the AUS-X Open Sydney, Dean Wilson has now been added to the S-X Open Auckland entry list, placing him in contention for the inaugural Monster Energy S-X Open Supercross FIM Oceania Championship.

The AMA Supercross regular strengthens an impressive international line-up for the New Zealand event, joining Chad Reed (Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing), Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) and Ryan Villopoto (Monster Energy Yamaha), plus former world champion and local favourite Ben Townley (KTM).

“I’m super excited to be coming to New Zealand and competing in the first ever S-X Open Auckland,” Wilson commented. “It’s perfect timing for me to come down and really put in a good performance – with the high caliber names that are competing this year, if I can beat them, then I’m back on the international radar, which is what I’m aiming for.

“I’m sure the Kiwi fans are going to be excited you know, their first real big supercross with some fast guys and world champions, it’s just going to be a really exciting event so hopefully, they’re loud and ready for some good racing.”

The number 15 will pilot a DPH Motorsport-prepared Husqvarna FC 450 for both events. The AUS-X Open Sydney is scheduled for 9-10 November at Qudos Bank Arena, followed by the S-X Open Auckland at Mount Smart Stadium on 24 November.
