Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki has added Luke Clout to its SX1 roster to complete the remaining World Supercross Championship (WSX) rounds of 2025, the Australian drafted in to replace Justin Hill ahead of Sweden and South Africa.

Having lined up with the French-based outfit at the Paris Supercross last month, where he claimed P2 in SX2, the 31-year-old will now step up to the team’s KX450 for WSX, extending his race calendar to close out the year.

Clout is no stranger to WSX, having contested all three seasons of the series. He previously represented Monster Energy CDR Yamaha in its inaugural two years – finishing third in SX2 in 2023 – before delivering sixth overall in SX1 last year with Rick Ware Racing.

“It’s a bit of a last-minute one, but yeah – I’m doing the last two rounds of WSX with Bud in Sweden and then South Africa,” Clout told MotoOnline. “This time I’ll be on the 450 for them in SX1.

“I’m excited to get back behind the gates at WSX. Supercross is a short season for us in Australia, so I suppose I’m just looking forward to continuing racing, and being able to travel the world and see new places is obviously a plus, too.”

An international supercross-only deal appears to be the priority for Clout entering 2026, placing added value on his performances in WSX. He will partner Spaniard Ander Valentin in Stockholm, before Moss – who is instead racing in India this weekend – returns for Cape Town.
