SX2 prospect to make first international supercross start.
Quad Lock Honda has called in Australian SX2 prospect Alex Larwood for this Saturday’s Swedish round of the 2025 World Supercross Championship (WSX), replacing Anthony Bourdon.
Larwood – who finished second in the AUSX SX2 championship – will make his first international supercross appearance, fresh off a fiercely contested season that saw the title decided by just three points.
The European outing marks another important milestone in the 21-year-old South Australian’s career, as he now prepares to measure himself against a high-profile list of permanent world championship regulars.
“It’s a great opportunity and a privilege to line up with Quad Lock Honda – they’ve achieved success all over the world,” said Larwood. “I still have a lot to learn and I’m excited to see where I stack up against some of the world’s best.”
The Yarrive Konsky-led organisation enjoyed a strong outing at the Australian GP, with Christian Craig finishing second overall in SX1, while defending SX2 world champion Shane McElrath also claimed P2.
As a result, Quad Lock Honda now leads the WSX teams’ championship on 111 points, holding a 13-point buffer over Pipes Motorsport Group ahead of this weekend’s penultimate round.
