Joining returning duo Crawford and Dennis in ProMX next year.
KTM Racing Team has introduced a four-rider line-up for the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship, with Zac Watson added alongside Nathan Crawford in MX1, and Dylan Walsh joining Byron Dennis to form the MX2 effort.
After a standout ProMX effort that delivered fifth overall, 21-year-old Watson has been drafted into the official KTM program for next year, set to continue his progression aboard one of the team’s KTM 450 SX-F entry in place of the retired Kirk Gibbs.
“I can’t wait to go racing with the KTM Racing Team,” said Watson. “It’s been a goal of mine for a very long time now, and I’ve had a good relationship with Kyle Blunden over the last couple of years, so being able to work with him and the team is something I’m really excited about. We’ll get into training now and aim to come out swinging next year.”
Crawford returns to KTM for his fifth season with the team, coming off a runner-up finish in ProMX this year following a convincing campaign. After missing the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, he’s focused on rebounding next season.
“I’m pleased to have signed on for my fifth season with the KTM Racing Team,” commented Crawford. “We’ve built a really strong relationship over the past four years, and we learnt a lot throughout the 2025 season, setting us up for what should be a big 2026.”
In MX2, seasoned international Walsh will shift attention to Australian competition next year, joining Dennis aboard KTM 250 SX-F machinery. The UK-born, New Zealand-raised rider has been a standout in this year’s AUSX series and currently sits fourth in the SX1 standings.
“I’m stoked to be joining the KTM Racing Team full-time,” Walsh said. “The previous few years, I’ve been racing in a bunch of different series, so I’m really excited to lock in and focus on one championship with KTM in Australia. I get along with everyone on the team really well, so it’s a very exciting time for me.”
For Dennis, 19, he will look to build on what has been a solid 2025 campaign, the talented teenager securing fifth overall in the MX2 standings amid a highly competitive quarter-litre field.
“I’m looking forward to 2026. Coming off a full year of racing this season with the team, we made some really good progress, so I’m ready to roll that into next season and keep progressing,” added Dennis. “I’m confident we can have a good, solid year and push closer to the front.”
Additionally, KTM Racing Team will continue to support development prospect Jackson Fuller, who will contest the MX3 class in ProMX as the 17-year-old sharpens his skills onboard the KTM 250 SX-F.
“We’re thrilled to be announcing the 2026 KTM Racing Team, and I’m incredibly excited about the strength and depth of this lineup,” added KTM Group Australia motorsport manager, Kyle Blunden. “In MX1, Nathan Crawford continues his quest for success with us and is joined by an exciting young prospect in Zac Watson. Both riders are hungry for wins, both with runs on the board, and both are absolutely capable of taking the fight to the front.
“In MX2, Dylan Walsh and Byron Dennis bring a brilliant balance of experience, raw speed, and genuine championship potential. And in MX3, Jackson Fuller continues his progression with us after showing incredible potential this season, and we’re looking forward to seeing him take another big step in 2026.”
