Jett Lawrence (Team Honda HRC Progressive) – First overall:
To finally get it on my third attempt was unreal. I’m super stoked to do it in front of the Aussie crowd – I’ve been here three times and hadn’t been able to get a win until now. Third time’s the charm, thankfully. The atmosphere was electric, and it honestly made the night feel really special. These are the kind of core memories I’ll carry through my whole career. It was awesome.

Matt Moss (Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki) – Fourth overall:
Tying for third overall at the AUSX Open is amazing. I just wanted to do my best for myself and the team after missing the start of the championship.

Dylan Walsh (KTM Racing Team) – Eighth overall:
AUSX Open was off to a good start on Saturday, as both my starts were solid, but I got tangled up with another rider on the first lap of both races in a situation I couldn’t control. It was a shame because we’ve definitely made good progress with the bike, so I’m looking forward to the last round and putting in a strong result to finish the supercross season.

Dylan Wills (Jaecoo Forth Yamaha) – Fifth overall:
Top five in a big race like this is pretty exciting. I knew the bike was good coming in, and after Cronulla, I just had a mindset shift. I come back for Supercross every year because I love it, so I wanted to get back to enjoying what I was doing. Melbourne was definitely a fun weekend, and the result was solid, so it’s happy days.

Lux Turner (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – DNF:
I’m so disappointed. I feel like I have let so many people down. I wanted to get a championship here in Australia. The team have been amazing, the bike is so good here, and I just love hanging out in Australia. Everyone has been so nice to me, and the series is really good. Let’s hope Ryder [Kingsford] can bring home the championship for the team – everyone deserves the success, and I will be cheering him on to get it done. I’m going to come back next year and see if I can finish the job we started this year, and hopefully, we can announce something soon.

Ryder Kingsford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – Third overall:
There was a lot going on tonight, so to finish on the podium and gain a few points is a good outcome. Shane [McElrath] and Cole [Thompson] aren’t doing the full series, so the focus wasn’t on winning races, just riding well and beating the riders in contention for the championship. So to get that done was good. My start was terrible in the heat race, but Lux [Turner] actually gave me a few tips, and I was able to gate well in the two finals and put myself in a good position. It was terrible to see Lux go down in practice, and I hope he makes a quick recovery, as he has been riding well and helped us all lift the bar this season. Also, thanks to the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha Team. The guys have kept working hard on the bike all series, and tonight it was sweet. We didn’t change a thing, and it felt good all day.

Cole Thompson (Penrite Racing Emire Kawasaki) – First overall:
It feels incredible to take the win here at the AUSX Open. It’s almost surreal, I knew I could do it, and after winning final one, I managed the risk in final two to secure the overall. Thank you so much to the entire team. It feels amazing to reward them at their hometown race.

Byron Dennis (KTM Racing Team) – 12th overall:
The day in Melbourne started off pretty good, I felt solid on the bike and was nice and comfortable. I had a good qualifying session and the heat was good too, so everything was trending in the right direction. A crash early on in the opening final had me drop the ball a little bit from there – I don’t think the results really showed how good my training has been. That’s disappointing, although up until that point we were good, so we’ll try to replicate that form and take it into Adelaide.

Travis Olander (Raceline Husqvarna TDub Racing Team) – 10th overall:
The weekend started a little average with a crash in qualifying. But I reset for the heat race – I finished fifth, which took me directly into the finals, and I was happy with that. I then captured 11-10 in the mains, which I was pretty stoked about, and I want to give a huge shoutout to the team. They helped me a lot during the weekend, and it wouldn’t have been possible without them. One more to go in Adelaide now to score a good result.
