Queenslander Wilson Todd has been drafted in for this Saturday’s Canadian round of the World Supercross Championship (WSX), standing in for Anthony Bourdon at Quad Lock Honda in the SX2 class.

The 27-year-old will step in for Frenchman Bourdon, who will prioritise his commitments with the Motoblouz Honda Motul SR team at the Paris Supercross this weekend.

Bourdon will miss Vancouver, as well as the Swedish GP on December 6 while contesting the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) round at Hyderabad. That will open a second opportunity for Todd to race alongside defending champion Shane McElrath at Quad Lock Honda.

Currently positioned 10th in the SX2 standings following the Buenos Aires opener, Bourdon’s points helped propel Quad Lock Honda to the top of the teams championship.

As for Todd, he is no stranger to WSX competition, having lined up in SX2 for both the 2022 and 2023 seasons, earning seventh and 10th overall in the championship standings, respectively. He is currently ranked sixth in the Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross SX2 Championship after three rounds, with a season-high score of fourth overall at Redcliffe 1.
