SX2 contender to miss round three of the championship.
A forearm injury sustained at Redcliffe’s Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship season-opener will put KTM Racing Team Noah Ferguson sidelined for Saturday’s third round in Sydney tomorrow night.
Ferguson – who was anticipated to be an SX2 title threat after flashes of speed through last year’s campaign – experienced a challenging start to his 2025 season, recording a string of results that sees him listed 12th in the standings.
The team has since confirmed that the 22-year-old was dealing with a forearm injury incurred on the opening night of the Queensland double-header, ruling him out of tomorrow night’s clash inside Sharks Stadium.
“Noah won’t be racing this weekend,” explained team manager Kyle Blunden. “He has hurt his forearm, which he actually picked up at round one in Redcliffe, and he then pushed on at round two. I don’t think we necessarily saw the best of Noah that weekend, and it’s a shame for both him and the team that he’ll miss this weekend.
“There were a lot of injuries at the opening round, which we always kind of see, right? Everyone gets very excited, and we’ve become accustomed unfortunately that there will be injuries at the opening round, and that’s kind of part of it. But it’s a shame nonetheless.”
Joining Ferguson on the sidelines will be the team’s second SX1 entry of Nathan Crawford, who continues to recover from an ankle injury in the pre-season, leaving Dylan Walsh and Byron Dennis to represent the KTM Racing Team this weekend.
