Former Australian ProMX champion Aaron Tanti has committed to racing in the US for 2024, inking a deal to compete with the Partzilla PRMX Race Team for the upcoming Monster Energy Supercross Championship.

The move was highly-expected for the 27-year-old and what prompted his exit from CDR Yamaha Monster Energy at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

After completing his ProMX title-defence fourth in the standings this year, Tanti is currently sixth in the SX1 title-race of the Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX). He has shown the capability to challenge in the discipline at the top level here domestically, and also in the SX2 class of the World Supercross Championship (WSX).

The Partzilla PRMX Race Team was founded in 2010 by Julien Perrier, and is based out of the South of the Border Training Facility in South Carolina, utilising Kawasaki machinery in recent years. This season saw PRMX field Cade Clason alongside Chase Marquier in 450SX, as well as the likes of Hunter Yoder and New Zealander Josiah Natzke in 250SX.

Tanti has prior experience in the US, coming in a short stint in 250SX West at the beginning of 2020 with a best finish of ninth in Oakland. 2024 will mark his first entry into the 450SX division.

“I’m really keen and excited to be joining Partzilla PRMX Racing for the 2024 AMA 450 Supercross season which will create a lot of challenges for me, new country, new bike, new team and racing some of the best racers in the world!” said Tanti.

“Team owner Julien has been very accommodating in making this international transition happen and I’m really keen to get to SOBMX and start preparing for the AMA Supercross season later this year!”

The 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship commences on 6 January at Angel Stadium, Anaheim, spanning to round 17 in Salt Lake City on 11 May. Tanti has indicated there is then a possibility for him to potentially return to the CDR Yamaha Monster Energy team for AUSX, which will field Jed Beaton and Dean Ferris – the defending ProMX champion on a motocross-only deal – in 2024.
