Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Graham Jarvis has taken back-to-back wins in the 2019 World Enduro Super Series (WESS), claiming victory at the Hixpania Hard Enduro in Spain for round four of the championship.

Jarvis’ consistently strong pace was rewarded in the three-day event, ultimately earning the points lead in the process, which comes as a surprise to the accomplished British contender.

“What an event,” said Jarvis. “It’s crazy to think I’m leading the WESS championship now. It was a tough race today and I was still tired from yesterday. It was fast but there were still some technical bits. I think everyone was really feeling it, I know I was on the limit today.

“I never had plans to win the WESS series this year – I just wanted to concentrate on the hard enduros. I guess this changes things. I’m not going to get too excited just yet though, my plan is to take each race as it comes. Romaniacs is going to be the game changer – hopefully I can at least finish it this year and then we’ll see how things are looking.”

Jarvis was joined on the podium by Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing teammate Alfredo Gomez and Sherco Factory Racing’s Mario Roman. The next stop on the WESS calendar is the Red Bull Romaniacs in Romania, scheduled for 30 July-3 August.
