Beaton claims top five in Western Australia

DPH Motorsport press release:

They called it the toughest round in the MX Nationals calendar and it surely didn’t disappoint. Some mixed results for the DPH boys in Wanneroo but luckily both came out in one piece and will be heading into the five week break in good positions in the overall Championship standings.

Jed like many others struggled with his starts in Wanneroo. After a bad start in moto one and a crash in the first lap of moto 2, Jed managed to finish 6-7 respectively. A better start in the third and final race saw Jed leading before finishing in 2nd. Jed finished in 5th overall for the round and is now sitting in 2nd in the Championship by only 13 points.

“Not a great day for me with two bad starts and a small crash. It was good to end the day on a high with 2nd in the last moto after leading for a while” Said Beaton.

Two top ten finishes for Jacob in the MX1 class races saw him confidently heading into race three. Unfortunately, Jacob had a small crash and a DNF in the final race that saw him be treated by race safe for a sore shoulder and hematoma on his leg.

“I struggled with bad starts but finished with managed to finish top 10 in the first two moto’s. This break in the series came at the perfect time and I’ll be fit and ready for round 6” Said Wright.

DPH continue their assault on the 2016 MX Nationals Championship at round 6 in Nowra, NSW on Sunday 2nd July 2016.
