The Australian Open of Supercross (AUS-X Open) will add another high-energy showdown for Australian fans, after the initial 28 November date at AllPhones Arena, sold out in just days.

The second action-packed day will take place on Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm on 29 November, with all tickets including VIP and General Admission available.

Thanks to Destination NSW, fans from outside NSW have an exclusive opportunity to purchase their preferred seats for November 29 via Ticketek from 12:00pm today, starting from as little as $40 AUD.

“We didn’t want a single fan missing out on what is set to be the biggest action sports event in Australian history,” stated event director Adam Bailey.

“We have the world’s best supercross and freestyle motocross riders heading to Sydney, and to have every seat at Allphones Arena completely sold out already, meant we had no choice but to give the fans what they’ve been calling out for – more racing, more insane FMX action and more entertainment.”

“The beauty of competition at the highest level like this is that the result on Sunday could be completely different to that on Saturday night. It’s completely unscripted and unpredictable!”

Dual supercross champions James Stewart and Chad Reed have both been confirmed for the racing element of the event, taking it up against Australia’s best riding talent.

Reed is excited to be heading back to Aussie shores to showcase the sport of Supercross to his hometown fans.

“To add a second date to the AUS-X Open is such a massive win for Aussie racing fans and I can’t wait to put on a showstopper for everyone,” said Reed. “Supercross is constantly evolving and for the AUS-X Open to sellout in a week, just proves that there’s a huge audience of passionate fans, ready to see the best motorsport there is in the comfort of an indoor stadium.”

Whilst two of the biggest names in supercross history have been confirmed for both nights of the AUS-X Open, the FMX rider line-up still remains tightly sealed with some big announcements to be revealed later this week.

The AUS-X Open event will be the biggest action sports competition in the Southern Hemisphere, combining an international supercross racing event with an FMX Best Trick competition, both featuring some of the world’s best riders up against Australia’s best talent.

Both 28-29 November will feature the world’s best riders, prize money and formats for both racing FMX Best-Trick, ensuring fans that go on either or both days will see unbelievable racing and unforgettable moments in sporting history.

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the addition of a second event is great news for motorsport fans.

“With the first AUS-X Open event now sold out, I am pleased to see a second event on the calendar for fans of action sport and motorcross racing,” he said. “Both events has been secured for Sydney by the NSW Government through our tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, and promise to attract thousands of visitors to Allphones Arena on November 28 and 29.”

Tickets are available through Ticketek. For more event information go to www.ausxopen.com.
