Current Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 250MX Champion, GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac, will make his 450MX debut this weekend at the Red Bull Tennessee National.

In his first full season in the 450 Class, Tomac has been hampered by shoulder injuries—first suffered at the opening round of Monster Energy Supercross. Tomac aggravated the injury before the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season opener, and was unable to compete in the first four rounds.

“The whole year has not been normal for me,” Tomac said in a team release. “I hope to race week in and week out. Hopefully, after this time off I’ve had, I can finally put the hammer down to the end of the season.

“I’m going to go out there and go for it,” Tomac continued. “At this point, I don’t have anything to lose. I won’t do anything stupid and not finish, but I’m definitely going for podiums and wins now.

“I’m really close to 100 percent. I feel 100 percent on the motorcycle right now. Come Saturday, I won’t have any issues. I’m happy and I’m in a good spot.”

Meanwhile, Wilson will also make his anticipated return after he suffered a deep laceration to the back of his knee at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season opener at Glen Helen, which required him to miss the last three rounds.
