Australia’s Matt Phillips picked up his fourth consecutive victory in the E3 category of the FIM Enduro World Championship at Enköping in Sweden on Saturday.

Following over two hours of special tests, Phillips continued his winning ways for KTM, despite sustaining a wrist injury in the early stages of proceedings. He won ahead of Matthias Bellino (Husqvarna) and Jeremy Joly (KTM).

“Mathias was riding really strong but I managed to get into the lead about lap two,” commented Phillips. “I then hurt my wrist and had to try and adapt my riding but with Mathias close it was a fight to the finish. It feels awesome to get another win in the bag.”

With early series leader Ivan Cervantes (KTM) struggling through an ankle injury for 12th, the result saw Phillips take over the world championship lead by four points.

Husqvarna’s Pela Renet picked up his fifth win of the season in E2, from Johnny Aubert (Beta) and Alex Salvini (Honda). Australian championship regular Stefan Granquist made his EWC debut, finishing ninth aboard a Honda.

In the E1 ranks it was Christophe Nambotin (KTM) who raced to a runaway victory, heading Eero Remes (TM) and Jeremy Tarroux (Sherco).

Claiming her fifth win of the season, Spain’s Laia Sanz (Honda) secured victory in the Women’s Cup. Britain’s Jane Daniels (Husqvarna) fought her way from fourth to finish as runner-up while Australia’s Jessica Gardiner (Sherco) completed the top three, ahead of Emelie Karlsson.
