CDR Yamaha’s Chris Hollis is readying for his first appearance in the X Games Enduro X event in Austin, Texas, on 6 June.

After clinching victory in the Australian Enduro-X Nationals series earlier this year, 29-year-old Hollis will take on the world’s best aboard a YZ250F in the unique stadium-based enduro discipline.

Hollis has established himself as one of the leading contenders in Enduro-X competition, finishing runner-up to Toby Price and Peter Boyle respectively in 2012 and 2013 before soaring to the three-round title in 2014 with victories in Brisbane and Sydney.

“I cannot wait for this to happen,” Hollis told MotoOnline.com.au. “It’s going to be a tough event battling it out with the best in the business. The track will be different to Australia and I have already stepped up my training so I can adapt and be confident when I roll up to the starting gate. A massive thanks must go to Yamaha Australia who are supplying me a 2014 YZ250F for the event.”

Hollis will depart Australia for the event in a fortnight on 1 June, embarking on the international challenge to take place at Circuit of the Americas.
