Mullins wins Loretta Lynn's GNCC, Strang podiums again

Australian returns to the top three at Loretta Lynn's Ranch.

FMF/KTM’s Charlie Mullins stretched his lead in the 2014 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch on Sunday with his third win of the season.

Mullins now has an eight-point lead in the standings from teammate Kailub Russell, who was second in the XC1 Pro category in Tennessee, round six of the championship.

After finishing eighth at the previous round a fortnight ago, Strang rode his Rocky Mountain ATV/MC N-Fab AmPro Yamaha YZ450F to third on Sunday. He now sits third in the standings, 41 points in arrears of Mullins.

The GNCC championship will continue with the Marvin’s Mountain Top round at Masontown, West Virginia, on 24-25 May.
