Rockstar Energy Racing KTM’s Jason Anderson has been docked two positions in the Anaheim 2 West Coast 250SX main event for jumping on a white/red cross flag.

Fresh from winning the opening two rounds, Anderson was forced to fight through the field at A2 from fifth on the opening lap to eventually cross the line second, but was later credited fourth following the penalty.

The result has handed A2 main event winner Cole Seely the red plate heading into Oakland next weekend in a frustrating turnaround for Anderson, with just a single point separating the pair after three rounds.

With Anderson bumped out of a podium position, Cooper Webb ultimately finished second, with Seely’s Troy Lee Designs Honda teammate Malcolm Stewart third in his first podium of 2014.

According to a statement released by AMA Pro Racing following the event, Anderson and privateer Chris Proscelle were both penalised.
