Eight-time Australian champion Jay Marmont has officially confirmed the Toowoomba round of the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship was his last appearance with Monster Energy Kawasaki.

Marmont’s future remains up in the air following two difficult seasons aboard the KX450F, unable to continue the form that saw him earn four consecutive MX Nationals titles with Yamaha from 2008-2011.

A supercross championship was the high point for Marmont and Kawasaki in 2012, before finishing fourth in this year’s series with two podiums to his credit.

“100 percent, I won’t be there next year,” 30-year-old Marmont told MotoOnline.com.au. “I’m not in their plans – there’s been no communication at all.

“I’ve been speaking to a few people, but right now I’m still working on a deal to continue in 2014.”

Many are anticipating Marmont to make a high profile return to CDR Yamaha next season – unconfirmed by Marmont or team owner Craig Dack at this point – however he’s also been linked to Honda and Suzuki in recent weeks.

Marmont first joined CDR Yamaha in 2008 and went on to win the MX Nationals title four consecutive times, as well as the 2011 ASX title, before making an ill-fated switch to the Troy Carroll-managed Monster Energy Kawasaki outfit in 2012.

Monster Energy Kawasaki is yet to announce its plans for next season.
