CDR Yamaha was dealt a double-blow to its 2013 Australian Supercross Championship campaign last week, with both Lawson Bopping and Kade Mosig sidelined for the season remainder.

Debuting the all-new 2014 Yamaha YZ450F (click here for MotoOnline.com.au’s review) in the series, injury woes have vastly affected the team’s title campaign.

Bopping, returning from a bout of Glandular Fever for ASX, suffered a knee injury in the Mount Gambier main event, forcing him out of Phillip Island’s double-header over the weekend.

CDR’s injury toll was impacted further in Saturday’s qualifying session alongside MotoGP at Phillip Island, when supercross-only signing Mosig broke his wrist in a devastating blow for the Victorian.

The team now faces a race against time to secure at least one replacement rider for the Tooowoomba finale, but quality options have since arisen according to CDR Yamaha team owner Craig Dack.

“We do have options and are working toward it, but I can’t say what they are at this point,” Dack told MotoOnline.com.au this afternoon. “Neither of our regular riders will be back in time for Toowoomba, but what we are working on is a pretty good alternative.”

Toowoomba’s final stop of the six-round ASX season will take place in Queensland on 16 November.
