As entries for the opening rounds of Milwaukee presents the Terex Australian Supercross Championship near a close International Entertainment Group has announced full grids for all classes.

IEG managing director Yarrive Konsky highlights why he believes the Darwin season an opener has recieved such a positive response.

“This is great, we are going to have to run heats, last chance qualifiers and finals,” Konsky said.

“There was speculation as to whether or not we would receive high entry numbers which surprised me as the feedback from riders, teams, sponsors and fans has been extremely positive – especially after last year’s success with sold out crowds, eight hours of TV and national and international main stream exposure.

“Darwin is an amazing place to be this time of year and the effort that is being put into rounds one and two is commendable. In addition we will invest over $60,000 in freight towards riders and teams as well as prize money that will be paid out to privateers only, which is a first for Australia.

“Lastly we are the only promoters providing TV for teams and riders which is consistent with last year. This ensures the championship will receive maximum exposure. We also have the lowest entry fees which again shows our commitment to racers, not to mention the free entry to series entrants for rounds one and two.

“With a week to go until the final entries will be cut-off we are confident that the championship will provide fans, sponsors, riders and teams something to be proud to be a part of,” Konsky concluded.
