A talented six-rider lineup is gearing up to represent Australia alongside 38 other nations contesting the 2013 Monster Energy FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in the Czech Republic.

Rhys Budd, Bailey Malkiewicz, Caleb Grothues, Hunter Lawrence, Richie Evans and Aaron Tanti will spearhead the Australian attack at the 11 August event, to be held at JinĂn.

The riders and team manager Glenn MacDonald will touch down tomorrow before heading to a test track where they will base themselves in the leadup to the event.

“Our preparations have gone well so far,” explained MacDonald. “We have secured support for the team from KOSAK KTM, a motocross racing team from Germany.

“KOSAK KTM will be supplying a semi truck with awning and full facilities as well as the expertise of technicians and catering for the riders and parents.”

The days prior to the championship event will be used to shake down the KTM race bikes provided in order for riders to get a feel for their machines.

“The riders will all be well equipped on KTM machines with some riders choosing to take up a generous offer of supply from KTM while some riders sourced bikes from R&R Racing,” added MacDonald.

“We have a test track secured in the lead up to setup the bikes and shake out some of the jitters the riders will naturally feel.”

Practice and qualifying will be held on Saturday before the championship races are run on Sunday.
