The Nowra Districts Motorcycle Club facility, located at Yerriyong near Nowra in the Shoalhaven, has undergone a restructure during the first half of 2013.

With management and operation of the facility being taken over by Motorcycling NSW in recent months, a great deal of work has been done by Kustom Kontours in improving the track and facility.

“We are really happy with the work that Dave Kirkland has done of late,” said MNSW general manager Daniel Gatt. “His experience and knowledge in preparing the Kembla track for Wollongong MCC has capitalised on the outstanding work done by the volunteers of Nowra Motorcycle Club over many years who always presented a quality track and outstanding venue.

“We have a works program in place that will result in an awesome riding experience for our customers.”

With the new look comes a new name and logo. The venue will now be known as the Nowra Motoplex and the striking new helmet themed logo really emphasizes the modern ethos endorsed by the venue.

Long-time Nowra Motoplex patron and multi-Australian Motocross and Supercross Champion Jay Marmont has given his endorsement to the venue improvements.

“It was always a fantastic venue to ride and train, however the work that has been done recently has really stepped it up a level,” Marmont said.

Whilst the track, logo and operators may have changed, the venue is still open to all riders. Some have noted that now MNSW are the operators that all riders must be MA Licence holders, which is incorrect.

The venue is open Friday to Monday every week and every day of the school holidays for all people who want to ride, including those who are not MA licence holders.

The riding and membership fees have remained at the same prices that they have always have been, so a ride at Nowra Motoplex is still great value.

Further improvements are planned for the facility over the coming months, MNSW encourages all off-road riders to check out the changes at the Nowra Motoplex.
