CDR Yamaha Off-Road Racing made an impressive Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE) debut over the weekend with Daniel Milner clinching the Outright win for the team aboard his YZ250F.

The CDR Yamaha team, owned and ran by four-time Australian Mr Motocross champion Craig Dack, has seen years of success in the Motocross world and is beginning to replicating that success on the off-road scene.

Following his first A4DE experience with the CDR Yamaha team, Dack admits he has a new found respect for the riders and that it’s a special feeling to walk away with the overall win.

“I have to admit I have a new found respect for the riders in an event like this,” Dack said. “Their ability to read the terrain, overcome four days of racing and keep wanting more is amazing and I really admire their dedication and determination.

“This is a great moment for CDR Yamaha as well. We are new to the off-road world and to win the A4DE in our first attempt is special and it means a lot to myself and everyone in the team.”

Milner continues to impress Dack, already leading the 2013 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship Outright, he now adds a successful A4DE championship defence to his list of achievements with CDR.

“I’m really proud of what Daniel has achieved so far this year and the win he just adds to that,” Dack explained. In the time we have worked with him, he has become a true professional and matured enormously on and off the track. He has been a delight to work with and we look to more championship success with him in the future.”

CDR Yamaha Off-Road’s Stefan Merriman, described as a “warrior” by Dack, was eighth Outright aboard his WR450F at the 2013 A4DE event.

“Stefan is a warrior of the off road world and has the respect of everyone in the team,” he added. “His eighth was built on hard work and had a few things gone his way, he might well have been a lot higher up.”
