Pirelli Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 dominates Appin MXN round

The Pirelli Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 tyre excelled over the weekend at Appin’s sixth round of the 2013 Monster Energy MX Nationals Australian Motocross Championship.

Appin’s Bellbird Circuit is a track that switches from soft and rutted to much more hard packed layout as the day progresses.

This constantly changing circuit showcased the true versatility of the Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 to perform the best in this broad range of conditions.

The most popular front chosen by Pirelli riders for Appin was the Scorpion MX Mid Soft 32 80/100-21, while on the rear the 120/80-19 MX Mid Soft 32 proved the most effective in the MX1 class.

Motul Pirelli Suzuki’s Matt Moss took the overall MX1 round win with a win in moto one and a come-from-behind third place in moto two.

Motul Pirelli Suzuki teammate Cody Cooper took the GoPro Super Pole win as well as the second MX1 moto win to continue his recent strong form with a second overall finish.

Motorex KTM’s Kirk Gibbs also continued his consistent rise in the championship with third place overall for the day, this saw Pirelli riders taking all three MX1 positions on the podium at the end of the day.

The MX2 class continued to show the 110/85-19 MX Mid Soft 32 as the best performer, while the new MX Mid Hard 554 was also popular in this class.

Serco Yamaha’s Luke Styke continued his strong form in the Motul MX2 class at Appin. The red plate holder took used a 2-1 result for the round win and stamped his authority on the MX2 championship.

Privateer KTM rider Kale Makeham showed what Pirelli Scorpion MX Mid Soft can achieve even for a privately run, small team, with a the moto one win and second overall on the day.
