Husaberg’s Graham Jarvis has taken out his fourth Red Bull Romaniacs title over the weekend making himself the winningest rider in the history of the event.

Jarvis has now moved three-time winner Cyril Despres from the top of the all-time winners board in the gruelling and challenging race.

Placing himself in a different league to his fellow extreme enduro riders, Jarvis finished the four-day event with more than 50 minutes lead over the runner-up rider.

Jarvis put his experience, riding skills and strategic maneuvering together for a winning combination in 2013.

“I was very nervous this morning, from previous years`experience I know how easy it can go wrong,” said Jarvis. “Now I am standing here as a four-time winner and still can`t believe it.”

Red Bull Romaniacs rookie Alfredo Gomez put on an impressive performance aboard his Husaberg and was rewarded with a second place overall finish. The Spaniard was one of the biggest surprises in the history of the Red Bull Romaniacs to date.

Andreas “Letti” Lettenbichler and Jonny Walker went all in on the last day of compeition, battling it out for the final podium position left in the event.

Both bring exceptional riding skills and were well prepared – but also faced a few challenges during the day, Walker managed to get lost in the morning and made tactical mistakes.

Letti was still struggling with cooling problems of his engine and watched his bike fly a dozen meters down in the ‘Doomed’ section.

At the end of the final day there was less than four minutes that separated the two after four days of racing. Walker ended up fourth overall with Letti earning himself the last step on the podium.

Red Bull Romaniacs veterans Paul Bolton and Chris Birch finished the event fifth and sixth, respectively. Both riders showed top performances throughout the race and Bolton had also won the prologue stage earlier in the event.

Beta factory rider Ben Hemingway finished his first Red Bull Romaniacs prologue on the podium and achieved an overall result of seventh.

Germany’s Philipp Scholz, Austria’s Lars Enockl and the South Africa’s Wade Young completed the top 10 overall for the 2013 Red Bull Romaniacs event.
