Husqvarna Australia’s factory-supported Australian Off-Road Championship team is celebrating the E1 victory of Glenn Kearney at Goomburra in Queensland on Sunday.

After finishing second on Saturday, Kearney bounced back to win round four aboard the TE 250 R in technical rocky terrain.

“There was some close racing all weekend, that crash late on Saturday was the only blemish for the weekend,” Kearney said. “It was great to take the win today, the TE 250 R was strong all weekend and we didn’t have to change a thing.

“I am really pleased for the team, the hard work from Joel and his race technicians are paying off.”

Husqvarna Australia’s Paul Feeney was pleased with the result, thankful for their support received in 2013.

“Great result for the boys and the team overall, Glenn is, as always, on the pace and it was great to see him get the win on Sunday,” Feeney said.

“Thanks again to our 2013 season sponsors Link International, Motul Oils, Pirelli tyres, RK chains, Ferodo pads, JT Sprockets, Polisport products, Excel rims, Vortex and RHK and graphics supplied by Five Three Designs.”

The team also landed on the E2 podium with World Enduro regular Matt Phillips and Lachland Stanford for the weekend, finished in 2-3 positions respectively.

Kearney’s result now sees him spring up to fourth in the championship after four of 12 rounds.

The series will resume at Corner Inlet in Victoria on 25-26 May.
