Motorex KTM Off Road Racing teamm’s Toby Price is looking forward to this weekend’s Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) rounds three and four in Warwick after achieving success in the past at that very same venue.

The Warwick event utilises an enduro format which will see competitors ride approximately six hours of trail time per day, interspersed with eight, maximum intensity, five-minute special tests.

In this form of racing the riders must be self-sufficient and are not allowed to receive outside help or service from their teams until the end of the day, and Price believes staying smooth and consistent will be the key to taking home the win.

“I’m looking forward to just getting out there and trying to win races,” said Price. “For this one we need to try and stay smooth and consistent and make no mistakes, because one mistake can mean a big difference to your result.

“Queensland’s always been pretty good to me – I won my first AORC title for KTM at Warwick with a round to spare in 2010 – so I hope it continues to be kind.”

Although conditions are expected to be a mixture of dry, rocky and loose soil, Price is up for the challenge and excited to take on the Queensland terrain.

“The conditions I’m expecting are a little dry and rocky with softer, loamy soil and that’s all good,” he added. “In fact as long as I’ve got a bike under me I’m happy with any conditions.”

Defending champion Price currently leads the Outright and E3 standings after two rounds of AORC action, stay tuned to MotoOnline.com.au for reports and results from Warwick.
