After an injury-ruled 2012 outdoor campaign, JDR KTM Factory Racing’s Ryan Marmont admits that he is relieved to have turned his season around with an impressive SX-Lites supercross campaign.

Marmont sealed second place overall in the series with a fourth place finish at Newcastle’s season finale of the 2012 Terex Australian Supercross Championships and now has his sights set on a successful 2013 season.

The Lites class veteran is also proud to be first Australian in the championship standings behind American import Gavin Faith of the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing team.

“I had such a bad motocross season, so it was good to turn my year around in supercross,” the Wollongong resident explained. “It is a good feeling to be first Aussie in the championship and second overall, I feel like that’s where I deserve to be and my injuries are all healed up.

“Now that I’m injury free I know I can have a strong season next year and I look forward to that.”

Marmont currently has not inked a deal for the 2013 season, but has been linked to various Lites manufacturers heading into the new year. Stay tuned to MotoOnline.com.au for any updates on Marmont’s future movements.
