Husaberg Australia has announced that Spaniard Alfredo Gómez will headline this weekend’s Wildwood Rock Extreme, to be held near Tullamarine in Victoria on Sunday, 11 November.

After taking out last year’s event with British extreme enduro specialist Graham Jarvis, Husaberg has enlisted the services of Spanish trials and enduro ace Alfredo Gómez.

The 23-year old, from Cercedilla, is a six-time Spanish Trials Champion and won the Spanish Enduro Championship in 2012. He also boasts a Junior Trials World Championship, a European championship and finished a fine fourth in the 2010 Superenduro Championship.

“It is a very interesting event, something new for me and I look forward to the weekend,” Gómez commented. “I will be trying my best to achieve a good result on Sunday.”

Over 40 riders will take on the grueling three-hour Wildwood Rock this year, expected to span over three hours on a challenging 13-kilometre circuit that will include steep hill climbs and rocky downhill sections.
