DPH Motorsport’s Cheyne Boyd will be working towards turning his season around at this weekends third round of the 2012 Terex Australian Supercross Championships.

With a slow start to the season, finishing just inside the top 10 in rounds one and two, Boyd is yet to show his full potential which he hopes to bring to the table at this weekend’s Toowoomba round.

The Victorian says he has been working hard on his practice track between rounds and feels comfortable heading into the Queensland event.

“This season hasn’t gone to plan for me so far but I’m ready for the last two rounds and I’m looking forward to turning it around,” said Boyd. “We’ve been working hard at the practice track and I’m feeling comfortable in all conditions”

Toowoomba’s circuit is set to be the biggest in Australia’s supercross history, which Boyd says he is very happy to hear.

“There is word going around that the track is going to be long and technical,” he added. “I’m stoked to hear this as my practice track was built like that so I’m ready to make the most of the advantages”

Boyd currently sits eighth in the overall SX Open championship standings, 22 points behind championship leader Jay Marmont.
