JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha’s Justin Brayton has taken victory at the ‘Superbowl of Supercross’ on Saturday night in Italy.

Brayton defeated fellow American and GEICO Honda mounted Eli Tomac on his way to earning the ‘King of Genoa’ title.

Whilst Brayton and Tomac traded wins, Gautier Paulin laid down consistent results to round out the podium in third position.

Two heats of action and various support classes, as well as tricks by the likes of FMX ace Andre Villa filled out a packed programme in northern Italy with the podiumees and racers like Christophe Pourcel adding star power.

Pourcel was unfortunately unable to battle for the win with the likes of Brayton, Tomac with a sub-par 12-11 performance in the main events.

Genoa kickstarts some high profile winter supercross events in Europe with spectacles in France (the famous Bercy SX in Paris celebrating its 30th anniversary this year) and Geneva in Switzerland set to keep audiences on their seat before 2013 rolls in.
