Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen has reflected on the Seattle round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series just days following his stunning first Supercross Class podium.

The current MX2 Motocross World Champion was superb in his first race of the season in the premier class aboard the 350 SX-F, scoring the shock second place behind close friend and former teammate Andrew Short.

“Tonight was such an amazing night,” remarked Roczen. “I had a great heat and a great main event. I am so happy to be on the podium and I am even more excited for my friend Shorty to get his first win.

“We had a great battle at the beginning of the race and it was really exciting to compete for the win.”

In the main event, it was Roczen who piloted his KTM 350 SX-F out front early to be second in the first corner. Roczen and Short began a battle for the lead that lasted the first half of the race.

Roczen is riding the 350 on the West Coast to stay sharp before the East Coast Lites series concludes in Las Vegas early next month.
