J-Star/JDR/KTM rider PJ Larsen was forced out of the Toronto round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross after crashing during practice.

The 2010 Australian Pro Lites Motocross and Supercross Champion was forced out of proceedings in Canada, another bump in his East Coast Lites fortunes.

J-Star/JDR KTM’s PJ Larsen suffered a bad crash during practice in Toronto and was held out of the main event with a foot and knee injury. KTM provided this update earlier today.

Larsen was scheduled to undergo evaluation in the U.S. today, according to an update released by KTM:

Unfortunately, PJ Larsen suffered a bad crash in a rhythm section during practice. He landed on his feet as he fell from the crash which caused some damage to his foot and knee. He was unable to compete in the night show and will return to his home in California for further evaluation on Monday.

Larsen is currently ranked 12th in the series to date, picking up a best result of eighth in Dallas to commence the East Coast season.

Update: JDR has confirmed that Larsen suffered a fractured foot and damage to his knee in the incident, likely to miss some upcoming rounds.
