Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Todd Waters has made subtle changes to his CRF450R ahead of this weekend’s penultimate round of the Monster Energy Super X series at Maitland Oval.

Waters will be out for redemption after recording his worst ever finish in the Super X Open class last weekend, finishing 13th overall.

He has spent the week in his home-town of Atherton, riding on a number of different local tracks to ensure he is prepared for this weekend.

“The past couple of weeks I didn’t get the chance to ride in between rounds and I felt a bit stiff so I have spent this week riding on some new tracks up near home,” Waters explained.

“The team have also stiffened up my suspension to try and allow me to jump a bit lower.

“I need to get good starts and keep out of trouble this weekend. Two weeks in a row I have been caught up in mid-pack incidents which have really cost me,” he added.

Waters currently sits eighth in the standings, primed to switch to Motul Pirelli Suzuki for the 2012 season.
