Team 07 Axis Motorsports Honda’s Cody Mackie will be looking to build on his good form coming into round four of the Monster Energy Super X series this weekend at Maitland, NSW.

Poor showings in the torrential conditions that were rounds one and two have hurt Mackie in the series standings, however he was back to his old self at round three in Campbelltown this past weekend.

After some spectacular man on man victories early in the evening, he went on to grab the first final holeshot before going down, but didn’t let the fall hold him back, improving throughout the night to post a fifth place overall finish in the Pro Open class.

“My man on man race wins and holeshot in the first final race have given me a confidence boost and a hunger to finish the season on a high,” said Mackie.

With huge confidence in his equipment and a good round now under his belt, the likeable rider who hails from the NSW South Coast is ready to show both his team and fans alike what he is capable of at Maitland.

“This Honda the boys at Axis Motorsports built is the best bike I have ever ridden. I would like to repay their hard work this season by putting the bike on top of the podium before the season ends”.

Mackie will be joined at Maitland by team mate Adam Monea, who will be looking for redemption after sub-par starts in the short races led to an eighth place overall finish in the Lites division.

Third team rider Keiron Hall will sit out the round due to injuries sustained at Campbelltown.
