Australia's Chad Reed knows he'll have to perform at his best to carry through with the AMA outdoor title.

TwoTwo Motorsports Bel-Ray Racing Honda’s Chad Reed is aware that he needs to show up with his ‘A-game’ if he’s to continue his dominant run in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Reed recorded his third overall win of the season by going 3-1 aboard his factory Honda CRF450R at Budds Creek last weekend, maintaining his series lead.

“It’s been a great season so far,” said Reed. “I’ve got a great team around me, and I’m having an absolute ball out there racing.

“There’s a lot of talent in the 450 class, so there’s no room for slacking.

“I will have to bring my A game every week if I want to stay on top.”

Reed currently leads the standings by 15 points ahead of this year’s supercross champion Ryan Villopoto.
