Talented Victorian Kade Mosig gave Craig Anderson’s Berry Sweet Strawberries/Lucas Oil Racing Honda team its second top five Rockstar Energy MX Nationals result of the year with a solid fifth overall at Coonabarabran on Sunday.

Mosig raced to 7-9-4-4 finishes across the day’s four motos in the Pro Lites category, realising his potential again after showing form throughout the season.

“I was very happy with my bike, tyres and suspension setup today,” Mosig reflected. “I was feeling great on the bike and was confident I had the speed to run up there.”

Anderson was also satisfied to see the 21-year-old making progress as the season enters its final stages.

“There was some great close racing today,” Anderson added. “We are very happy with Kade’s efforts and his continuing determination to improve and push forward every weekend.”

For Anderson the day marked his return to racing in the premier Pro Open category, scoring 13th overall for the round as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury sustained before Murray Bridge.

“My bike was awesome, I really liked the track but struggled all day with my injury,” Anderson said. “With two weeks away from racing I think I will be a lot more race ready at Albury.”
