Robbie Marshall will switch from Yamaha to Coastal KTM for the 2011 season.

Queenslander Robbie Marshall has signed with Coastal KTM to contest in the 2011 Australian MX Nationals and Super X series in the Pro Open class.

Armed with the all-new 350 SX-F, Marshall will be joining Jay Wilson on the team. The 26-year-old has a long list of first place finishes throughout his career to date, with numerous podiums to his name.

“I’m really looking forward to joining the Coastal KTM outfit for the 2011 season,” Marshall commented. “It’s great to be able to ride for KTM and I’m excited about the change.

“I rode for factory KTM back in 2002-2003 and had some really good results – hopefully I can continue from where I left off. It’s been a while since I have ridden a KTM but I’m sure I will get back into the swing of things pretty quick.”

During the 2011 season, Marshall will be doing selected FMX events throughout Australia aboard the 2011 model KTM 250SX two-stroke machine with the plan on going to battle it out with the world’s best in the FMX Speed & Style at X Games.

“We are really happy to have Robbie joining our team here at Coastal KTM for the 2011 race season,” Coastal KTM owner Phil Bond commented. “Robbie, being Australia’s most talented all-round rider, brings a lot of experience to us and it will be great to have him on the team.

“He will be bringing a few new sponsors to the team in Advanti Wheels and Answer Racing, which we are proud to have onboard and we can’t wait to have a great year of racing.”

Former Coastal KTM Open class rider Daniel McCoy has signed for the Rockstar Motul Suzuki team to contest the Lites class this season.

The Coastal KTM Team will make its 2011 debut at Broadford for the first round of the MX Nationals on 6 March.
