Geico Powersports Honda’s Justin Barcia showed great skills to win the 2010 Bercy Supercross in France over the weekend.

The 18-year-old American looked strong all weekend with quick lap times and the victory was the perfect reward for a kid who just doesn’t give up.

Going 1-5-1 for the three nights he was able to just nudge ahead of fellow American Kyle Chisholm who finished with 3-3-2 for the three nights.

“It’s great to win this event,” Barcia said. “It is a tough three days and starts are important, today I got the start and that helped a lot.

“I made some people angry with me, I don’t like that. I think I made some fans and had some fan hate me because I was colliding with their riders.”

After being beaten on Saturday night by Frenchman Greg Arandam the blonde charger put it all together on the final night.

Third overall was Cedric Soubeyras who went 4-2-6 for the three nights.

This year’s Bercy did take its toll on the riders as Marvin Musquin and Grant Langston joined Michael Byrne, and Max Anstie on the sidelines.

Antonio Cairoli looked strong also on Sunday, after getting in two days of Supercross racing the four times World Champion really impressed as he battled Cyrille Coulon for third place in the final moto of the weekend.

Cairoli’s 7-13-4 was enough to show that he can improve with enough time on the bike.

Saturday night winner Aranda didn’t have the best of nights, finishing first in the Super pole, but he could only manage ninth place in the Sunday main event. He would finish with 13-1-9 for his weekends work.
