Americans Justin Brayton and Kevin Windham have proven popular guests in the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, the pair going home to the United States this week with a win apiece – both eager to return full time in 2011.

Brayton took a determined victory on Saturday night in Tasmania, making it third time lucky after contesting the opening three rounds, and he’ll return to the U.S. with his confidence high after beating out the likes of Windham and countryman Josh Hansen in Launceston.

“This has just capped off a great month I have had in Australia,” explained the Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Yamaha rider. “Everyone here as been so good to me and I really wanted to win a round before I left to show my appreciation and I managed to get it done tonight.

“A huge thank you to the CDR Rockstar Yamaha team, Yamaha here in Australia and the GAS team for inviting me. I would love to come back next year and do the full series.”

Windham started his Australian tour in Canberra with his best foot forward as he won on debut in the nation’s capital, however the Survival format in Launceston wasn’t a favourite of his and he returned to America with a third place for his efforts.

“This was certainly an interesting experience,” Windham said, who had zero time on the bike during the week between rounds. “The race format threw me a bit – I can honestly say I have never had to push my Honda back to the start-line before.

“It was still a great day, I won the eliminator and I have really enjoyed my time with the Cougar Bourbon Honda team.”

With Australia’s greatest ever Supercross rider Chad Reed already sitting out Canberra and Launceston, plus Brayton and Windham returning to the States, the field will see a new face in Kiwi Ben Townley for the upcoming Auckland and Dunedin rounds in a fortnight.
