Dunlop-supported athletes Kade Mosig, Kirk Gibbs and Luke Styke claimed first, second and third positions on the MX1 podium at round two of the MX Nationals at Appin last weekend.

After a successful season opener at Horsham, Dunlop supported riders headed to round two looking to back up their results, and continue their winning form.

CDR Yamaha’s Kade Mosig claimed his second round overall for his career, posting a race win in moto one, and fourth in moto two, eventually claiming top step on the podium.

“It felt great to get the overall win, and to get some more solid championship points on the board,” he said. “We used the softer rear tyre in the first moto and it worked perfectly. For moto two, the race line was beginning to go hard so we changed to the hard surface rear, once again the tyre was perfect for those conditions.”

For Gibbs, round two provided the opportunity to further extend his championship lead and will retain the red plate heading into round three.

“I pushed my Dunlop tyres to their limits all day, they hooked up for two great starts and gave me great confidence,” he said. “Not only did Dunlop take over the entire MX1 podium at round two, but the top six riders overall posted their results with the support of Dunlop tyres.”

Dunlop’s National Sales Manager Sabastian Mincone, shared his excitement when speaking of the weekend’s results.
