Kawasaki Australia reduces KX450F and KX250F pricing

Kawasaki Australia has announced it will reduce pricing on the 2015 KX450F and LX250F motocross models by $1000 compared to the previous models.

Now available in local dealerships, the revamped KX450F has an RRP of $10,999, while the soon to be released KX250F’s RRP is $9999.

KX design philosophy is simple: put mid-level to expert riders on the top step of the podium. This philosophy has not changed since the creation of the KX brand over 40 years ago. With 32 AMA SX titles to its credit, the most of any manufacturer, KX has a proven record of powering champions.

Adding to its highly acclaimed engine and chassis performance, numerous industry firsts and advanced technology, fine-tuning for 2015 makes the new model the most potent KX450F yet.

Upgrades include new, easy to adjust, factory racer style Showa SFF-Air TAC (Triple Air Chamber) front forks, new style discs front and rear including a new semi-floating over-size 270mm front, revised ECU settings and revised piston crown for increased compression amongst other changes.

A high-pressure air pump to make quick and simple adjustments to the new SFF-Air TAC forks is available from Kawasaki dealerships at the RRP of $99.

The KX250F has a long history of winning, including dual American championships in 2011 and the 250MX championship in 2012.

Adding to its highly acclaimed engine and chassis performance, numerous industry firsts and advanced technology, fine-tuning for 2015, including new adjustable ergonomics, makes the new model the most potent KX250F yet.

New features for the 2015 KX250F includes but is not limited to a new finer atomising downstream injector for increased low-mid range power and sharper response, new race-based performance bridge-boxed bottom piston, new style discs front and rear including a new semi-floating over-size 270mm front, plus four-position adjustable handlebars and two-position adjustable footpegs to tailor the bike to a range of rider sizes.

For 2015 the KX450F and KX250F both receive new lightweight axles and lighter sub-frames, new green highlights including suspension adjusters, engine oil cap, generator cover plugs and rear spring and new titanium coated forks with self-lubricating alumite coated outer fork tubes that look like they’ve come straight off Ryan Villopoto’s championship winning KX450F.
