Kawasaki has confirmed that it has joined forces with Showtime FMX to form the Monster Energy Showtime FMX Kawasaki freestyle team.

Going into its 12th year and with an average of 200 freestyle MX performances a year, the Showtime FMX team is easily the most prolific and successful FMX team in the southern hemisphere.

With an impressive set-up of transportable ramps and trucks, the Showtime FMX team performs all across the country, from rural community shows to V8 Supercar rounds and sold out Nitro Circus shows.

Kawasaki is confident that with the addition of KX motorcycles to the team line-up, the Monster Energy Showtime FMX Kawasaki freestyle team will only continue to grow and prosper throughout 2011 and beyond.

“Through highly polished and very entertaining freestyle MX shows, the Showtime FMX team have proven itself as the premiere FMX team for the last 11 years,” said national sales and marketing manager Rob Walker.

“The best FMX team should be on board the best bikes so it is with great pleasure that Kawasaki joins forces with the Monster Energy Showtime FMX team.

“Kawasaki looks forward to supporting this established team and is confident that the team will continue to succeed and rise in stature in 2011.”

Respected industry identity, Gary Reid, who started the team in 2000 is pleased to have Kawasaki onboard along with another major new sponsor, Monster Energy.

“I’m very excited about the partnership with Kawasaki,” Reid said. “Showtime FMX has worked very hard over the last 12 years and we now look forward to this next chapter with Kawasaki and Monster Energy.

“Our team riders, Steve Mini, Matty McFerran and Brad Burch love the new 2011 KXs and find them very balanced in the air and freestyle friendly.

“We’re very excited with the whole new look of the team thanks to the addition of Kawasaki and Monster Energy and our brand new range of Jet Pilot signature merchandise that is currently in production.”
