Returning for AUSX within 2025 supercross-only program.
An 11th-hour Yamaha satellite deal will keep Dylan Wills on the gates for the 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, marking a major career shift for the SX1 mainstay.
Wills, 29, has spent the majority of his years as a professional riding a suite of KTM Group equipment, but has landed a YZ450F with direct Yamaha support for this year.
“I’m honestly so excited for this,” Wills told MotoOnline. “It’s my first time ever racing a Yamaha, which is pretty cool in itself. It’s been a quick turnaround to get everything sorted for the weekend, but I’m already really comfortable on the bike and loving how it feels.
“I can’t thank everyone enough who’s helped make this happen – Yamaha Motor Australia, the AUSX championship crew for going to bat for me and connecting me with Jaecoo as my title sponsor, and everyone who’s stepped up behind the scenes to make it possible.
“Sam Moore has played a huge role too, and we’ve got some fun projects in the works with Forth, FIST, Dritimes, and Drink Weird that I’m really pumped about.
“Plus, Roof Tek Group have supported me for years, so it’s awesome to have them along again. It’s all come together thanks to so many great people and brands, and to be back behind the gate this season is something I’m genuinely grateful for.”
Wills formed part of the GASGAS Racing Team – since merged with KTM Racing Team this year – last season and finished seventh in the final standings.
