Delivers first win of AUSX SX3 season for Monster Energy WBR Yamaha.
Emerging American talent Ryder Malinoski managed to take his first AUSX Supercross main event victory in SX3 at round three of season 2025, defeating points-leader Kayd Kingsford following a heated battle in Sydney. MotoOnline spoke to the Monster Energy WBR Yamaha recruit post-race to get his Fast Thoughts on the situation and what we can expect in the coming rounds.
Turning things around at round three…
I’m happy, got the win, we needed a win to get the momentum in my favor. [I] had a rough go at the first couple of rounds, but yeah, man, got the win. We’ll build off of it, go back home to ClubMX, honestly, leave tomorrow and get back to work, man.
Going head-to-head with Kayd Kingsford…
Yeah, man, honestly, it was just… I’m used to racing good competitors and guys who race, you know, clean. And it wasn’t that it was dirty, it was just not the type of racing I wanted. It is what it is, me and him will both move past it to be better in the future, and yeah, you know, credit to him for getting on the box too.
On-track antics leading to fireworks…
It was just the way we were riding. You know, we both were not pushing – we both were riding probably at 50 percent of our capabilities, and it was kind of just more of a, I want to say kind of a Deegan show in Vegas, almost. It felt like it was just… It is what it is.
Staying composed in the heat of battle…
It was a lot to compose and I tried my best. I’m sure he did as well, but yeah, it was a crazy, crazy main event. That’s all I can say, and yeah, we’re going to move on and take the win.
Challenging for the AUSX title…
We’re at round three of five, that’s all I got to say. And it’s a long series. I’m just trying to build, I’m having fun out here in Australia, it’s a cool opportunity for me, and I’m just trying to keep getting better every round.
