Dean Wilson (Quad Lock Honda Racing) – First overall:
It was a bummer not to celebrate on the podium, but I understand how it looked from the outside. I appreciate the officials taking time to hear us out and review the evidence. It’s been an amazing season, the crowd was electric, the atmosphere unreal. There’s still a lot of racing left, so we’ll stay focused and keep working.
Cedric Soubeyras (Boost Mobile Honda Racing) – Third overall:
It wasn’t my best riding. I made small mistakes and needed to ride smart. Our plan was to collect strong points, stay consistent, and stay on the podium, and we did that.
Aaron Tanti (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) – Eighth overall:
Saturday night was looking good until it wasn’t. I felt good all night, just an unfortunate racing incident took that podium away.
Mitchell Harrison (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) – Fourth overall:
I’m so disappointed with how the night ended. I was third in the first main and fourth in race two, but it felt like I spun up or hit something in the rhythm lane and went down pretty hard on the last lap. It’s just frustrating and disappointing, as I really wanted that one.
Phil Nicoletti (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) – Seventh overall:
That’s just not good enough. The first three rounds haven’t been good enough, and I need to turn it around. I was able to put myself in a good position in both races, but just didn’t finish the job.
Luke Clout (Penrite Racing Emire Kawasaki) – Second overall:
I felt great all day on the bike, and my qualifying time showed we had the speed to challenge for the win tonight. I can’t get caught up in the drama of the penalties and appeals. I’m happy for myself and the team to be back challenging at the front of the field, and although we didn’t get the win, tonight was a massive step forward for the rest of the championship.
Dylan Walsh (KTM Racing Team) – Sixth overall:
I can start on this KTM really well! I was a little bit off in the opening final, letting a couple of people through after a mistake, which had an impact on the result. Then the second one, I was in the race lead after the start, but found the ground in that one after a little bit of help. That was a racing incident, but again, it was a bit of a bummer to have that happen. We’re making progress – in the weeks between now and Melbourne we’ll keep pushing hard.
Dylan Wills (Jaecoo Forth Yamaha) – DNF:
It was a bummer to miss my home round, that’s for sure! Unfortunately, I had a pretty solid crash on Thursday that shook me up quite a bit. I went out for practice and qualifying, and somehow managed to put it inside the top 10, but I just shouldn’t have been out there. So I made the call going into the night show to sit it out. We have four weeks now until Melbourne, so I’ll rest up and try to come out and finish strong in the final two rounds.

Lux Turner (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – First overall:
I’m on cloud nine. That was such a fun night of racing, and it was so good to do battle with my teammates all night. We had so much fun out there, and the track was awesome. This one is special to me as my family flew all the way over from the US to watch me race, and they are here for just five days, so to get the win with them here was amazing. A huge thank you to the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha Team and Yamaha Motor Australia for having me out. Everyone has been so nice, and even though I’m flying home tomorrow for a month, I can’t wait to come back for the last two rounds and spend some more time with them and the fans
Ryder Kingsford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – Second overall:
It’s nice to be back up front and where I belong. My riding was okay at Redcliffe, but my starts weren’t working, so I did plenty of those in the break and the bike was dialled in, and I was able to be right there on the opening lap. My ankle is pretty sore now, but it’s no different to what I have felt before, so with a few days off, we will be good to go and get stuck into it heading into the final two rounds.
Jayce Cosford (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) – Fifth overall:
I felt I let a podium go tonight. I had the top three speed all day, just that crash in the first race set me back. My riding was much better than Redcliffe, and I just need to clean up my starts, and I think I can get up there. I will work with the team to make some improvements and plan on getting on the podium before the season is over.
Cole Thompson (Penrite Racing Emire Kawasaki) – Fourth overall:
I’m disappointed in the crash from the opening final as that cost us a shot at the overall podium. But I felt great on the KX250 and my speed improved every time I was on track. The Empire Kawasaki Team have been fantastic to work with and I’m excited to get some more laps under me before we head to the AUSX Open in Melbourne in November.
Byron Dennis (KTM Racing Team) – 10th overall:
Sydney wasn’t too bad of a weekend – definitely a big learning curve for me. I made a few rookie mistakes, but there were a lot of positives to take out of it, and we know what to work on. I’m really excited for the next one in Melbourne, so we’ll put in some work and get ready for it.
Travis Olander (Raceline Husqvarna TDub Racing Team) – 12th overall:
The event started off well, and we saw that I had made improvements from the previous round by qualifying 13th. I went into the heat race and got a decent start, but got pushed wide, which sent me to the LCQ. I qualified through that, and then in final one, I was running inside the top 10 and building confidence before getting shuffled back, but it was positive to be in the mix. Final two, we made some good changes, and we kept it consistent and stayed upright, which is the goal, and continue to build that confidence as the series progresses.
